It seems like nobody is allowed to do anything there except consume, consume, consume...Are shopping malls in Malaysia and Singapore a form of social control?
You're talking about a shopping mall, so of course people go there to shop and 'consume'. Perhaps you want to be clearer about what is meant by 'social control'? I don't think shopping malls can be a form of social control...lolz.
People on both side of the causeway engaged in other activities beside shopping, which are not 'social controlled'.Are shopping malls in Malaysia and Singapore a form of social control?
dude, i live in singapore and trust me, there is nothing wrong with the place. singapore has a bad reputation for strictness anyway, which is undeserved
I dont know about you but isnt that the whole point of a mall??? What do you think they should have reliners and beds so people can lay around and whatch tv? Why dont you look up social control and get a new question!
