Okay, so I know this is going to sound stupid but my friend told me this and I don't think it's true. Okay, she said that if you're having sex and the condom breaks and you get the sperm inside of you, if you don't want to take Plan B the best thing to do is douche with very warm (almost hot) water and very cold water. She said that she takes her showerhead and squirts it full blast up her vagina and that ';washes away'; the sperm. Is this for real?Is this an effective form of birth control?
Not true. It only takes a second for the sperm to make their way through the cervix and up towards the fallopian tubes. By the time a woman hopped out of bed and tried to flush out the sperm, all she'd be getting is the sperm that was already dead or the ';weak'; ones that couldn't make the trip. All the other strong sperm specimens would already be inside the uterus and making their way towards her egg. All a douche does is clean the vagina. It does not enter the uterus.Is this an effective form of birth control?
No. This doesn't actually work. Your friend may think it does because she hasn't gotten pregnant yet. That just means she either wasn't ovulating at the time, or the sperm didn't fertilize the egg.
lol. sperm can swim in water. Basically your friend is pushing the sperm further up her.
Just use a condom or get on birthcontrol.
LOL that's hilarious!
tell her that people get pregnant in pools and hot tubs all the time so of course her so-called method isn't a form of birth control.
No that is not true if it were that simple to prevent pregnancy why would anyone waste money on birth control and getting their tubes tied!
no thats not true at all. its a proven fact that doesnt work 2 prevent pregnancy
of course not. your friend will end up pregnant before long if she continues to rely on this method.
No way. Sperm travels very fast, there is no way to ';wash it out';
