What form of birth control do you recommend?

I hate taking pills, and my Nuva Ring is giving me headaches and making me incredibly bloated. Last time I talked to my doctor he didn't want to let me get my tubes tied. He thought I was too young, and may want to have more children.

He also didn't want me using the Mirana because I need the extra hormones. I don't produce enough on my own.

FYI, I'm 26 I'll be 27 in July. What form of birth control do you recommend?
The patch, as the other answerer suggested, is a possibility. Another one would be the Depo shot that you get every three months, have you considered that? I think you would have trouble getting any ethical doctor to perform a tubal ligation at your age, so that's pretty much out of the question. If you really don't like any of these methods, you may just need to stick to condoms/diaphragms.

Have you taken the pill before? They are very small and easy to swallow, and although it's a pain to remember at first, setting an alarm on your cell phone to remind you can help and eventually it becomes routine. Taking it before bed also helps it become a sort of routine, plus then you don't have to worry about taking it in public, and you sleep off any possible side effects. But of course, they're not for everyone.

I normally would never suggest this because I hated it so much. Have you thought of the patch? You apply one per week and on the forth week you don't wear one.
