I am thinking about getting the Depo shot, but I am a little worried about the side effects.What is the best form of birth control?

There is no one best form of birth control because different medical conditions make certain methods better or worse for a particular person. Depo is good if you don't have unexplained vaginal bleeding or pregnancy. Without knowing your medical history, I couldn't even begin to give any significant help on what method would be right for you.


Your local health department or planned parenthood should have some information available for you to read, probably even before you make an appointment.


Before you choose a method, the provider is obligated to give you a full explanation of each method and answer your questions to your satisfaction.
