What is the safest form of birth control?

I have the Mirena IUD but it doesn't seem to be reacting to my body very well. I've been on the pill and had a hard time remembering it. Any recomendations? I am married by the way so abstenance is out of the question. What is the safest form of birth control?
the ';safest'; form is not having sexWhat is the safest form of birth control?
At first I had a hard time remembering to take the pill as well, until I realize that it's not that hard to forget if you work it into your daily routine like after brushing your teeth or right before bedtime. Have the pills set next to your bed on your night stand. It worked for me and I'd never missed a pill for the pass 8 yrs.
Tell your man to use a condom, or better yet, get a vasectomy.
How long have you had the IUD? I know that I spotted for a few months , but just when I was about to give up on it, the spotting stopped and I have loved it ever since.
The pill is probably the most reliable form of birth control. There are ways you can remember to take it. Put the pill packet right next to your toothbrush, or someplace where it will stare you in the face, and you'll remember to take it. Talk to your gyno about the IUD if it isn't working for you. There are less effective methods such as the diaphragm, spermacides and condoms. And since this is 2006, there's the patch, the morning-after pill, and male birth-control pills -- yeah, believe it or not! Talk to your doctor about other alternatives that were unheard of a few years back.
Diaphragm?
You could do the monitoring your temperature to find out when you are ovulating and avoiding sex during that time, but remembering to take a pill is just as easy.

The only possible side effects are unwanted/unplanned prenancy. If you don't want any more children, you could do tubal ligation, or hubby could have a vasectomy (his is easier to recuperate from than yours)
Depo shot works well, but causes weight gain in most. There are also patches that you change weekly. Talk to your ob/gyn see what method is safest.
out out notes to remind yourself. the pill is really safe it also helps to prevent cervical and breast cancer! talk to your doctor about the patch and the depo shot they are both effective and you dont have to remember them EVERY NIGHT. good luck
JUST SAY NO.
You can try the Chinese method but really doesn't work. You abstain when you are ovulating and wash immediately after having sex. But it sounds like you need to go with prayer and faith, girlfriend.
