Rape %26amp; incense I can understand why, but don't women who decide to have sex know the risks of having intercourse? Even a teenager knows the risks.
And if you can't afford birth control there are other ways of satisfying a man w/o having to have intercourse. Isn't having the ability to have an abortion just making it easier for women to just completely forget their responsibilities to themselves?Why is abortion used as a form of birth control?
I think you don't understand the big picture. A woman can only have 2 or 3 abortions b4 her doctor will tell her that the next might make her completely infertile. Plus, abortion procedures are at best extremely uncomfortable and painful, physically and emotionally (so I've heard.) It's not like, ';Oops! I'm pregnant! I guess I'll just take my lunch break to go get it ripped out and then I'll be on my merry way!';
And how can you say even teenagers know the risks, when our country is denying them viable sex education?
Sh*t happens. Birth Control fails, condoms break. Who are you to say what situations are OK for a woman to get an abortion and what situations aren't?
BTW, sex isn't just about pleasing the man. This IS the 21st century, you know.Why is abortion used as a form of birth control?
there are other reasons for considering abortion like i did because i am raising a handicapped/blind daughter and just found out im pregnant with my third, i have taken prescriptions that may cause malformations and do not have it in me to raise another special child, though i am keeping the baby now i seriously wanted to abort. its not always a form of birth control there are many many reasons for abortions nothing is ever black and white, no answer is right for every person. i did not go thru with the abortion but that was purely selfish of me, because i did not want to deal with the pain and shame involved, i also educated myself on prescriptions and there affect on pregnancy many people think the abortion is there only option. and adoption was never a choice of mine because many people were adopted in my family and they almost all came from disfunctional adoptive parents. and many people that have abortions (ive heard) never forget their responsibilities they just choose not to deal with them, for what ever their reasons are . i am not trying to be rude, just informative.
Your right. I'm not against abortions but I don't understand why some women use it as birth control. I know some one who as had at least 9 abortions, that's ridiculous. Most of the women that have had one abortion say they regret it and would never do it again, but others see it as an easy way out. It's really sad. You have every right to do what ever you want with your body, but it seems like after the first time you would be more responsible. We all know the risks of having sex but some just don't care until they end up pregnant. Some women today are just trash either they have an abortion or end up having a child that they don't take care of. I think it's easier to use birth control and condoms. If I end up pregnant anyway then it's my responsibility to take care of my child rather than kill it.
I agree with you.
It's very irresponsible to use abortion as birth control; especially over and over again. There's no excuse for it when there are options available.
They need to be permanently sterilized if they can't be responsible and use their heads.
It was never meant to be used as birth control.
Yes, they know the risks, but everyone seems to think that it won't happen to them. Just look at all the ';Help! I had unprotected sex and now.......'; questions on here. Just think of how much worse it would be if the ';morning after'; pill had never been invented.
I completely agree with you, but I think some girls are just too immature to understand the implications or they just don't care.
yes but its a sad mistake an abortion is.....
