Will USA government have some form of control over the banks after the financial turmoil gets over?

Everyone is aware of US banks failure


This is because of the unsupervised functioning. In the name of Capitalism, the government did not have any control over them and hence the banks committed so many mistakes and failed





Will this be a lesson for USA?





Though total control of banks by the Government is not possible, will they atleast impose some form of control or supervision over the banks so that this chaos will not occur again?Will USA government have some form of control over the banks after the financial turmoil gets over?
Although some want to blame poor people for getting mortgages they couldn't afford, the real cause of this problem was deregulation. In the short term nothing will be done. Bush is a lame duck and be behind much of the deregulation anyway.





What happens in the long term depends on who the next president is. McCain is a deregulator just like Bush. Obama wants to reign in the greed and corruption.





Yes some people got loans they couldn't afford. But much of that was shifty work on the part of mrotage brokers and real estate agants. Here in California a local agent was found to have stated yearly income for monthly income. The buyers had no idea because the papers were all in English. She was they buying agent, the selling agent and she also handled the mortgage. The collected her money and disappeared and the families are now looking a foreclosure. I know this isn't the only case.





But that isn't the big problem. The problem is that deregulation allowed mortgages to be bundled and sold over and over again.Will USA government have some form of control over the banks after the financial turmoil gets over?
This is all a game plan of political parties and the corporates. The financial turmoil will not happen suddenly. This would have started long back and the ruling party must be knowing. In any democracy every political party has to face the elections with the help of corporate and rich people's donations. Therefore the government had already


announced a massive package to rescue the banks.
Im wondering the same thing. Is the Gov going to control the banking system.





Who controls people getting loans that can't even afford it .. or people with a huge credit card debt looking for a loan instead of concentration of paying off the bills.

My openion is it is possible but not now, may be it must be taking some time i.e after president elections there is everything ok .
