What is the best form of birth control?

I used to be on the pill but I wasn't very good at taking it at the same time veryday and I gained some weight. I heard the shot is the most effective but I know someone who got pregnant on the shot. So for of birth control should I get? What is the best form of birth control?
1. Abstain is the best.

2. After that, the injection, or implant, because they require no monitoring, except to remember to go get a second shot.

3. If you have decided you never want children, or your family is complete, most docs would recommend a tubal ligation. What is the best form of birth control?
The most effective birth control that has the fewest side effects is the IUD. There are 2 types. The Paraguard is non hormonal and is good for 10 years. The Mirena is progestin only and good for 5. Not every woman is a good candidate for an IUD, so ask your doctor.

As for the shot- women are either gonna love it or hate it, but you won't know until after the injection. And if you hate it, has to run it's course. The Depo shot is also notorious for unpleasant side effects. Do your research
The only way to be 100% sure you won't get pregnant is to not have sex. The next best thing is the pill/shot. You can most certainly get pregnant with any form of birth control (besides not doing it)...
