Do you think birth control is a different form of abortion?

Many people have a different opinon about it, but I would like to know what people I have never met think about it!Do you think birth control is a different form of abortion?

If you say that BC is a form of abortion than your PERIOD which happens naturally is a form of abortion as well because every month the uterus grows thick for the fertilized egg and when the egg doesn't get fertilized it is expelled from the body the uterus realizes there is NO egg and then you start your periodDo you think birth control is a different form of abortion?
No I don't. An abortion will terminate an existing pregnancy, which means a developing fertilized egg. Birth control, however, causes the body to not produce an egg by giving the women hormones that makes the body act like it is pregnant, in the fact that an egg will not be produce that month. Also, because people have become pregnant while on birth control, I do not see how that can be consider an abortion.
No because on birth control a baby isn't conceived. There isn't anything there. Abortion is a process where an actual human being is heartlessly murdered. Seriously, anyone who performs abortions should go on trial and get the death penalty or life in prison just like any murderer who kills someone. Sorry, didn't mean to rant at you. I'm not saying you are for abortion or anything, it's just that some people are so dense. :)
when there is nothing to abort then it is not an abortion thus we can rationalize that birth control is not abortion. It is contraception...contra being against (in Latin) conception the process of sperm meeting the egg etc. thus contraception is anything that prevents the sperm and egg from meeting.
Birth control prevents pregnancy..abortion terminates pregnancy..they are completely different things! How could birth control be put in the same category as abortion there is no baby with birth control you are not making the choice to end a pregnancy you are taking birth control so you don't get pregnant!

No. Abortion is terminating the pregnancy. Birth control is preventing it.
no because birth control works by making your body not ovulate, but if for some reason your body does then it wont make you start your period or abort the baby. i got pregnant on the pill...
