I am going to be using NuvaRing as a form of birth control and cannot tell my parents. But ?

But I heard it needs to be stored in the refrigerator to maintain it's effectiveness. How can I get away with this? (since i live at home with my parents)

thanks in advanceI am going to be using NuvaRing as a form of birth control and cannot tell my parents. But ?
I think you should just tell them.

If you are mature enough to be having sex, then you may as well act mature, and not hide a very responsible thing such as birth control.I am going to be using NuvaRing as a form of birth control and cannot tell my parents. But ?
You can only keep it out of the fridge for less that 24 hours, and it still has to be in a cool place. Your options are 1) tell your parents your using it for reasons like helping your period, 2) tell them the truth, or 3) don't pick it up from the pharmacy until the day that you need to put it in.
gee if you have to store it then

i dunno how you could hide it, possibly if you found one of those small refridgerator cooler things for your lunch box and put it inside that

...

actually i have no idea what to do about that

is there any other birth control you can look into using

unless you want to tell them

good luck :)
gee, you really shouldn't be hiding things from your parents in the first place. talk to your mom. let her know that you're grown up enough to make this kind of decision to have sex. you're smart for using birth control and hopefully your mom will see that and understand.

hiding things from your parents will make them lose trust in you. just be honest from the start. i hope you will talk to your mom. at least having a conversation about birth control will be so much easier than telling them you are pregnant.
Don't pick it up until the day you have to put it in, then put it in when you get home.

It only has to be stored in the refrigerator if you pick it up before the time you're supposed to put it in.
