Is abstinence the most effective form of birth control?

it seems everyone's against abstinence, but for birth control. i'm just wondering isn't abstinence the most fool proof form of birth control? Is abstinence the most effective form of birth control?
Sure...

Same as how if you never want to get food poisoning, you should never eat...

Or if you never want to die in a car accident, just never get in a car...

BIRTH CONTROL is the safest form of birth control! Having the Morning After Pill in EVERY medicine cabinet across the GLOBE is the greatest back up plan in the history of sex.

Plan B, a.k.a. The Morning After Pill, a.k.a. Emergency Contraceptive has been an OVER THE COUNTER drug for over 40 years in the rest of the civilized world...

How bass-acwards are we and how brainwashed by the Religious Reich that we refuse to allow this abortion-solution to all?

Sex is as much a responsibility as driving a car...

If you are too much of a p u s s y to take responsibility, you shouldn't own a car and you should keep your legs closed!

Absolutely! Condoms and other forms of birth control are not 100% effective, so not having sex is the only sure fire way to not get pregnant.

By the same token, you should avoid ever getting into a moving vehicle to avoid dying in an accident.

But then, sex is a wonderful and beautiful thing, and it's also nice to get out of the house once in a while, so sometimes you just have to take the risk. Buckle up, use condoms, and live a little.
Yes, it is the most effective form of birth control. I don't believe in the legitimacy of its single alleged failure. In the words of David Hume, ';Which is more likely, that the whole natural order is suspended or that a Jewish minx should tell a lie';.

You say ';everyone'; is against this. Clearly this is not true. Indeed, it seems far more popular than it should be. There is a psychological toll in taking a healthy human being and telling him/her no sex. They tried this with Catholic priests and it seems the result was an army of child rapists.
Nature has a very cruel sense of irony by making the best pleasure the most risky. Unfortunately, yes. Abstinence is the most effective form of birth control but it really sucks.

Go get laid!!! Just use spermicidal lube and stick to anal!
Im not against abstinence. But I DO think it is an unrealistic expectation for most people.
ya, but u obvioulsy dont get that :( condoms will work, and if your so darn worried, put the girl on birth control on top of that
Definitely!
No that would be the Falcon Punch.
