I know I've never been with a girl who uses one.... in fact, I've never even seen one in real life.Why are female condoms not a popular form of birth control?
They're cumbersome and not as readily available as the other kind. I can't even think of any physical store I've ever been to where they sell them. And very few women are going to go online, order a box of female condoms through the mail, wait for their arrival, and then start the lengthy and confusing process of inserting it before sex when you could go to Walgreen's and get a 24 pack of Trojans in five minutes.Why are female condoms not a popular form of birth control?
they are more expensive and harder to find that male condoms. they are hard to insert and about an inch of it sort of hangs, unsexily, out of your vagina. Also my boyfriend says, and this is a direct quote, that using female condoms are like 'having sex with a plastic bag';.
Well I guess its fine for women who have no problem digging around in their vaginal passages looking for lost items. For me I prefer not to mess around with anything that could become lodged into my vagina. I dont see how a female condom would not simply slip and get lodged, the same thing with these menstrual cups people use. I am not into it!
Well, they take a little more practice to use compared to male condoms. For the woman, it takes practice inserting the condom properly. For the man, it takes practice staying in the condom if you're one of those ones who likes to pull completely out from time to time.
I have never even seen them advertised, and never seen them in any stores. I would blame the lack of popularity on the manufacture for not promoting the product. I suppose most women wouldn't even know how to use them.
Becaust it takes like twenty minutes to figure out how to get it in, and it's not like we can just go into a gas station and there's a rack of condoms for women.
Then buy one, and try it. No one is stopping you.
Why aren't they made more available? I guess that's a good question for the manufacturers....LOL!
From what I hear, they are a pain in the kabookie to use.
Because that would mean more responsibilities on women than they already handle. That would be one more responsibility that they wouldn't want to handle. What can they then say? ';he he I forgot my condom?'; or ';he he I'm 'allergic' to condoms?';
