Is getting an IUD the best form of birth control?

I am wanting a birth control that i don't have to worry about taking on time everyday or get shots in my arm. Any recommendations? I was thinking a 5 year IUD.Is getting an IUD the best form of birth control?
IUD or just using condoms is probably your best bet if you don't want pills or shots. You could also look into Ortho Evra--the birth control patch: http://www.orthoevra.com/index.html

All birth control except condoms can carry some risk of side effects. Look into all of your options--even the ones you don't want!--and see if the potential side effects of whatever you're interested in are balanced out by the convenience. I did the pill for a while, but I couldn't stand the side effects, so the boy and I have gone back to condoms. One of these days, when I have some money to spare (or health insurance...) I'm going to try for a copper IUD, but that's just me.
